Default Spring noise after sitting on 07 gt3

When the cars been sitting for while the springs (front suspension) make a weird noise (settling sound) as I'm backing out of the garage (turning wheel and declining). Once car is settled it goes away. Is this normal on GT cars?

Normal for these models. My 2002 Boxster does it. My 2003 Turbo does it. A number of owners of other models have reported the same behavior.

When making a sharp turn at very low speed the inside front tire is not making full contact with the pavement. Because the two tires follow different sized arcs the inner tire being less loaded than the outside tire and not making full contact with the pavement scrubs/skips and that is what you are experiencing.

This behavior is exacrebated by the steering geometry which is designed to provide superb stability and directional control all the way up to the car's V-max.

But what you experienced is normal and harmless.

Macster, appreciate the detailed response. Makes sense and thank you. Just an FYI, my 997S or 997 turbo DOES NOT have this issue.
