Hi Guys ,
I tooling with the idea of an earlier car spec'd somewhat like my '16 I'm selling . Two questions : on the 07/08 cars what seats did Euro cars come with and are these available to retro-fit ? Secondly , I've never seen a 997 RS of either generation fitted with the Euro rear bumper cap that eliminates the US spec bumper '' pillows '' on either side of the license plate - is this a straight forward swap on US cars ?

The Euro 997.1 RS had the CGT seats. These will fit in the US cars.

Easy swap to Euro bumper. I did cup bumper
Amongst a lot of other things. My car is 2007

the euro clubsport seats will fit. must disable airbags in the seats through coding. they are $, if you can find them, about 15k+ a set.

you can do the rear bumper, must modify the beam under the bumper or source the euro one.
it does look cleaner

I thought Cgt aka club sport were an option all years even on the 4.0

Drive both cars imo. I don't think enough people do.

bumper u can buy from dealer, euro version
seats are cgt, i have the unobtanium nearly new perlon CGT seats. but $15k is about 50% short to entice me enough to get them off my storage mezzanine. on the other hand, u can just put recaro pole position in it. looks period correct and very comfy. <$5000/pair.

I think the 996 GT3 buckets looks good in a 997 as well, for a lot less $$$ than the 997/CGT buckets.

Those are leather with a perlon insert I believe.

Perlon cgt / va seats are perlon all over.

Personally I don't get the obsession with the perlon all over. It pills and gets hot and feels just like the base recaro "perlon" you get on a $500 seat.

I noticed they breath considerably better than alcantara, and fire resistant as well.
