When inflating prior to driving home from the track on your "track day tyres"?
Air reservoir tanks seem oh so 60's.
I've seen several people using what looks like battery powered drill (form factor) inflators from dewalt / makita / milwaukee.

what works well for you?

The $20 one from harbor freight that plugs into 12v if the track doesn't have air.
It pumps fast, works good. Small.

if you don't want to bring a compressed air tank, VIAIR makes a nice 12v compressor. I prefer a tank, whenever possible

Viair portable air compressor. They inflate a lot faster than the $20 inflators. Get one of the models that connects directly to the battery, otherwise it can be easy to blow a fuse.
