Default 997.2 GT3 Insurance Help

Team,

I am getting some outrageous insurance estimates and stipulations. Please keep in mind that I have a flawless driving record (zero points/zero accidents).

Currently I am with Allstate, and to add my new 997.2 GT3, they are talking in the $3.5K range per year. Previously I had a 2012 GT-R Black Edition insured through them, and it was $1,200 per year.

The car will only see 5K mile per year or less since it is not my DD. What companies are you guys using? Any recommendations/ agents that you recommend I work with?

I looked into Haggerty and Grundy, but they want me to insure at least two collector cars with them due to the "newer age" of the 2010 911 GT3.

I am getting frustrated over here! Currently, I have her insured on my Allstate policy, but I need to find a better solution.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm about $90 per month with State Farm in GA. For me, the only folks that could beat State Farm were Geico but not enough for me to justify losing my personal relationship with my agent's office.

I've gotten quotes from the collector guys many times in recent years and their prices were outrageous. TO the point where I called them out on it being higher than a regular policy and got no response...

Try Leland West/American Modern and see what they say. They advertise in several publications.

USAA is for mil and mil families. Membership can be passed down.

For me, USAA was more expensive than State Farm and Geico for car insurance and for homeowners it was more expensive than Farmers. So I did not start using USAA at all.

Default Don't use GEICO

no matter how low the premium. They provide law enforcement w/ free radar guns just so they can issue more moving violations and jack your rate.

Unconscionable business model.

I have used Leland West, agreed value policy for my last few P-Cars. I think I am at $1100 if memory serves me correct. 5,000 miles per year is the stipulation, which is fine with me. You are always welcome to call them to extend the mileage if your doing a long distance event etc..

Do you have an agent that I can call?

Also,

I see that you are located in Atlanta as well. We should meet up sometime!

Interesting. USAA was cheaper for car, home and umbrella insurance than State Farm, geico, and farmers (in which my buddy works and couldn't come close). I guess it depends where you live. Here in SF rates across zip codes can be significantly different based on all the potential liabilities/risks around you.

I use AAA for everything. I think my yearly premium is about $3,800

It insures:

2015 Audi Q7
2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2008 Audi RS 4
2007 Porsche 997 GT3.

all on a 100/300/100 policy with $500 deductibles for comprehensive, $1,000 collision
