Would you give in your 997 GT3 for 991.2 GT3?

This would be difficult, I could see some later regret potential.

I would add a 991.2 manual, not replace any 997GT3. They are two completely different 911's

It is more than the gear stick. Cars are just not built like the 997 anymore. Imo. If you have a good car, you will regret it and prolly have a tough time finding another pristine one. Only to add, never to replace.

The first thing I would want to know is what engine is in the 991.2. I would want the same engine that is running in the new RSR. That was a major appeal for me with the 996 and 997 GTs. The Mezger engine is in all of them.
I have lost track on the engine changes to the base GT3 991.1 and is the RS and 911R running a different engine? I do know that i would not want a 991.1 GT3 - that engine scares me!
A combined total of 1500 GT3s and GT3RS 997.2's made - so they are hard to find. We will see more then triple the amount of 991.2s produced - so they will be more available. Going to keep my 997.

Race Car
I have a 991 GT3 RS and a 997.1 GT3.
My plan when getting the RS was to sell the 997 but I've found it difficult to do that.
Not that the RS is bad, it is just that the cars are so different from each other and still they both are sooo enjoyable.

Life's short. Order a 991.2 Gt3. If ultimately, you don't like it as much as 997, trade it back in for another 997. You won't ever know if i you don't try.

Planning to Replace my 997.1 GT3 with a 991.2 and I already know I'll probably regret it. That said, i want the new car but can't justify keeping both if I get a build slot. Kind of a win/win either way, I either get a newer more powerful GT3 or a I get to keep the best Porsche I've ever owned while it continues to appreciate.

It just keeps checking all the boxes even after 7 years. Wouldn't trade for a day.
I actually enjoy maintaining it. Guess that makes me a bit strange, but so be it.

Both are great.
Had a super nice HotRod RS America 964 but with 991 RS arrival I knew I wouldn't drive it anymore.
Drove on of my past 997RS the other day and I can't go back.
Now, if I would live where there are nice driving roads, I need that 964 back.
