Default New owner GT3 interior questions

Hi guys,
I'm loving my newly acquired 2007 GT3! I have some questions that I wanted to ask as I've been going through the car a little more carefully in an effort to return it to stock as much as possible:
1- There are some clips to the right of the cd changer in the glovebox. Is that really for a pen? If so, does anyone know where you can buy the original because mine is missing?
2- Did the center ashtray originally have a cigarette lighter? If so, mine is missing. Does anyone know where you can buy one? Didn't see it with suncoast.
3- Were there original GT3-specific floor mats? I've seen ones with "GT3" written on them in online images and I am wondering if those are original or something else? Mine just say Porsche
4- Was there originally a mat for the rear deck (on the lid directly in front of the rear window)? If so, any pointers where to buy?
5- Random question: in the front luggage area, there is a small compartment door. When I open it, there's nothing in there and the compartment looks very small like the size of a couple of cigarette packs. Is something suppose to go there?
Thanks!!!

Great thread. I just bought a gt3 2007 and have all the same question. Mine is missing the same items. I'll be curious to see the responses. Thanks for opening the discussion. Jon in Delaware

1. Pen or a tire gauge. Pretty sure those weren't supplied by the factory.
2. Yes. Look on eBay and dismantlers, I don't have the part number.
3. No. Those were usually made by Lloyd Mats under license by Porsche. They are thicker and the material is different.
4. No.
5. It's for tire goop. The info should be in your manual.

Enjoy the car!

#1. a Pilot hi-tec C fits perfectly, very light weight :-)
#2. interesting. mine has always had a 'blank' in there.
#3. standard Porsche floor mats. many added lloyds mats. as ilko states
#4. no, and don't bother.
#5, if you're talking about compartment at bottom of trunk, that is for goop
There is one on the top of the trunk, on the pass side. No idea what goes in there. Mine is empty. If you're in Cali just keep your medpot there. You have glaucoma right?

2- 99765210100A05 "cigarette lighter black mat" in the switches section of the GT3 parts diagram.

Looks like any 996/986 or 997/987 part will work since this is listed as a superceding part number. Brand new at Sunset is $15.75

I'd like to pose an interior question. I cannot seem to find out how to display the TPMS sensor on my center ecu display. I have tried every function. Any thoughts?

Your TPMS is likely disabled by a previous owner who had track wheels and didn't install sensors on them. TPMS functions are coded w. PIWIS (or Durametric, if it has that capability, but I'm not sure). First I would check if your TPMS brain is connected. It's located by the brake fluid reservoir at the upper left side of the frunk. You'll need to unscrew a couple of hex screws and open the little panel to access it. In order to register TPMS present the TPMS brain has to be connected to the harness. Then you can code the car for TPMS and then you can code the cluster.

Is TPMS standard on the .2 GT3.
My .2RS does not display tire pressure so I assumed it did not have the option.

It is standard on all US cars from MY2007 or 2008 on. I think Porsche offered it as a no-cost option in all 997s sold here.

You have a US car right? If so, it's been disabled.

I just removed the panel and check. It looks as though the wiring harness is connected.

Is the next step program the ecu to read the TPMS harness?

A durametric can enable/disable the TPM (I did it that way many years back)

I believe there is a very early thread in this section of the forum by Mikymu on TPM disabling

Thanks! Very helpful!

On #5, I think we are referring to two different compartments. See the photo of the one I am wondering about.
