Update - still under months of hefty rehab. Drove the car for the first time 3 weeks ago. It was a scary experience as I wasn't sure how my left leg would take to the heavy clutch. It was more a nerve wrecking than exciting experience, but I gutted through. If weather plays nice I'll try and get some weekend runs in over weeks. Achilles is about 50% recovered, so I still have to play nice.

I'm on 18 months post injury with PT twice per week - it just takes a very very long time - go slowly stay focused on proper PT - make sure PT up on latest research and methods

Finally got 20 min on the bike and nearly full bore pace with no pain

I'm way ahead of the curve I'm at the 5 month mark, I'm doing high impact jumping and running. I eat as best as I can and I work out alot.

Oh that's awesome - well done - likely you have better than average blood flow in the area - that's what drives result

I'm on a highly regimented diet to help spur tendon rebuild. More than happy to share the formula with you. Not anything illegal.

Very glad you kept the car and the rehab is going ahead of schedule. Once you make full recovery, re-read the thread from the beginning for a nice laugh, how many moons ago you even considered selling her.

I broke my left leg in two spots while kickboxing.. took my hand wraps off and used them to wrap my leg. Drove home. Wore a boot for a while, PT, never sold.

Deer antler spray sounds like some **** you'd buy from an old Chinese women to help your diqq work better.

I've been taking green probiotic powder as well to help with inflammation. Unfortunately modern diets do not include enough probiotics.

In case you're curious I'm now doing the following:

- High speed sprinting (15-20 mph)
- High speed power jump drills
- High speed footwork

My achilles has only regained about 50% of it's prior strength, so I keep pushing it. That soleus stretch you introduced me too is awesome.

I start up hoops in about 3 weeks.

Amazing - I at least can drive race cars again without pain so I'm happy - no high speed footwork for me though I don't suspect ever
