Hell, find a friend to drive you to rehab in it once a week. Talk about motivation for recovery. I just started mine tonight and giggled. Didn't even leave the garage. Just hearing it puts a smile on my face.

Achilles tear is a different animal as far as rehab. Did mine a few years ago...surgery the whole bit. Will tell you that by the time the weather changes you should be almost ready to drive.
Tore mine in a baseball game in May....was walking (although with a lift in my shoe for proper angle) by Labor Day at the US open. You'll be fine.
I hit all the panic buttons too but just stick to your rehab and you'll be driving stick in no time.

I did my left 20 years ago, had surgery and did my right two years ago, just worked through rehab. I got my GT3 three years ago from owner who tore left hamstring. He went to a PDK car. The grins and motivation I have gotten from this car have inspired me to keep working on flexibility and fitness just to keep driving it. As have others opined I would keep the car and work to get back behind the wheel. All the best in your rehab.

Let me know if you need help turning a wrench. Mines under cover for the next few months with no real needs, so I'm likely to get bored...

Over in Arlington. Garaged at the house; the agreement with my wife is that she gets the other spot, so I get to park the daily in the driveway all winter...lived the last decade in CA; I'm not all that great at this winter thing.
