Default Paint code

Dear all,

Doing a bit of touch-up on the chassis of my 997.2 RS. (Battery acid escaping through the drain tube...)
Would anybody know the paint code or how to find the correct colour for the underside of the car ?
Please see attached pic, the colour is much more ivory or beige than
the Carrara white of the body as seen on the spoiler.

Thanks !
Tommy

No idea I'm sure a god paint shop can match it. Some sort of primer though. Post a pic of that issue? I've seen this on a few cars. Mine is ok but vent is very low and car has lithium in it now

Here's a pic. One can see that a previous repair has already been made, not very nicely though - note the wrong, darker colour applied by paintbrush ! And, yes, it was done by an official Porsche dealer....
The previous fix was either badly done (stripping, primer etc.) or some new acid has made it's way onto the chassis where signs of rust pits start to show up. Just below the drain tube on the right there is definitely some new acid since the paint is bubbling and really soft here.
I guess that's what you get with sticky tires and tracking......
Time to look into different batteries I guess !

Tommy

how and why did the battery leak? Just out of curiosity. I thought this was a rare event in modern batteries.

This is from the vent line. Seen it before.
Agm battery or lithium.
And make sure vent hangs below chassis
