2007 RS... what's the "Canadian discount"?
I'm thinking of selling my pumpkin RS. It's a Canadian car located in Canada. I'm assuming it would sell easier in the US because the market is so much bigger. What percentage discount would the car need in order to compensate for the negative stereotype associated with Canadian cars?

997.1RS currently for sale in canada for 200k cdn.
you could advertize it to the u.s market and discount it.
They have a 2.5% import duty on the sale.
Transportation from the north to the U.S.A can be approx $3000.00 depending on where.
Look at the available .1RS in USA and market it accordingly.
Should be able to find a buyer in canada given how rare the car is.

You have to find the right buyer. Some US guys just will not buy CA. Some dealers cannot buy CA car. Your pool of buyers in the US is just smaller. The right buyer might be excited to just get an RS on the cheap side of US pricing, which is your best case scenario. Someone that is concerned about CA resale issues might want a 20% discount to US vin prices. It's prob somewhere in between.
I think if it's a rare enough car, the discount shrinks. If it's something that's easily replicated in a US vin, you have to entice a US buyer by giving them a meaningfully better deal than any other equivalent US vin RS.
