Do they fold up? Or forwards or? Do I have to push something to release it?

Fold toward the rear of the car
Lock in folded position
There is a little lever that exposes itself when folded
That lever unlocks them from the folded position

Sometimes the little spring on the lever can come loose and they won't lock when folded

Can someone post a picture of it in folded position? It looks like the whole thing would break if I even move it. There's so much tension when I start to push.

If you have the My Porsche App for iPhone, open it and go to iManuals. 911 and there's a video of a lady folding them-

Hi all, here's what I did; push the mirror level to the ground, towards the rear of the car. This action will expose a red tab in the mirror housing base. Pull it up and it will cause the mirror to lock 'folded'. Push it in to release and unfold the mirror. Easy.

That's the video, and you'd expect a higher quality one...

This little thing with the red **** is supposed to be spring loaded. Just push on the mirror to the back of the car it'll hold it the spring is functional. Not complicated and you won't break it.
