Default Ceramic Paint / Wheel Coating

I have been told it would be a good idea to put a Ceramic Coating on my new BBS wheels as well as the portions of my car not covered by XPel? Anyone done this or have an opinion? Thoughts on best product?

I think there is some hype surrounding ceramic (nano)coatings. Different brands make some pretty hyperbolic claims imho, with a fairly wide range in pricing and complexity in application. I think a coating is better than nothing at all. But I think a decent sealant (like Mezerna) will do the job similarly well.

That said, I do use opticoat on my nicer cars but purely because my detailer gives me a really good rate on the application.
