I'm looking at an '07 GT3 that has been a track car at least some of it's life and in the same family since new, currently has 15k miles. It's no garage queen and obviously has been predominantly a track car in it's recent existence.

Below is the DME/ECU overrev report from Durametric this morning, all zeros, never above the rev limiter. The shop that looks after the car and read the DME tells me the owner is very slow at the track. 390 hours and 15k miles seems to be correct at an average speed of 38.5 mph. Any thoughts?

A track car with zero even range 1 seems unlikely? Can these values be reset or read zero if there is a software/hardware issue with the DME or Durametric?

doable to have 0 over revs.
my car has 0 over and i have tracked her.
i shift at 7,800 rpm.
i have done under a dozen laps EVER closer at / close to redline.

Same....i track it....and have no overruns under my ownership....i think the cars with over revs the rare ones and the report you have normal ......I guess forums and searching for overrevs makes the issue seem common to be fair.

Last time i check mine it had zero overrevs. I don't think it's a given that a tracked car automatically has them, although having some 1 & 2's is also no big deal.

Sounds good, the deal is done subject to me poking around underneath the car on a lift on Tuesday. This will be my 75% Track, 25% Street Toy to replace my 996 Cup money $$$$$ pit.

I do have the option of a leakdown & compression check, is this necessary based on the data from the DME?

you could do a compression but 99.999% will be fine.
if compression shows issue then do leak down. compression is a lot faster.

Does the report give you average speed?

I don't see an average speed mentioned it may be somewhere else in the report. I will run it again when I see the car on Tuesday.

The operating hours counter is at 390 hours and it has 15k miles that would put the average speed at 38.5 mph but I'm not sure when the counter starts running, when the engine is running or the car is moving as well?

hours counter is on when engine is on. that average speed is very close to mine.
