Default Need advice on a 997 purchase

I'm usually on the 993 forum but I have a friend who wants to join the 997 ranks on his first 911 purchase. I'll cut to the chase here with the attached link. It's a 2008 targa with one major caveat. The engine was replaced at 22K miles and don't know why. http://www.highlineautosales.com/web...nois/30149327/
Since I don't know much about the IMS problem I'll assume this was one of its issues. He loves the targa and loves the cobalt scheme.
Thoughts?

well my opinion is you focus on the 2009+ cars as they moved to the 9A1 motor which has shown to be solid.

+1 And, if it's a first Porsche, I highly recommend a CPO car...T
