Default XENON Conversion on 997.2 GT3

Hello GT3 Forum,

Soon to be owner of a 2010 GT3. The car just landed on the dealer lot and the old clear bra has yet to be removed! So needless to say I am pumped as the constant searching has ended. Just waiting for the formalities and the CPO paperwork to be completed.

The ONLY draw back to this car is it was equipped with the Light Weight Headlight option 600 when it was built.

I'd like to covert the lights to OEM Xenon lights.

Is this is a simple swap of headlight assemblies? Will a 997.1 Turbo light fit work on a 997.2 GT3?

Any experience would be helpful.

Cheers!

First thing that makes me think this won't work are the PDLS leveling/directional sensors would not be present on your driver's side LCA or steering wheel control module. Not sure about the rest but that would be a deal breaker id think.

Not looking for the dynamic lights. Just the basic XENON.

Well I'll pack up my dinosaurs and leave the room.

Sorry, hope that didn't come off as brash. My apologies.

Was hoping you could give your thoughts on the basic XENON lights if those require the leveling and directions sensors.

Didn't think it was brash. My fault re: reading comp. And good opp to use Bradbury quote.

I'd think there would need to be a converter box but it may be built into the Xenon's housing? I'm useless besides that. Sorry.
