I bought the correct and expensive Castrol Optimol Paste-
One of the first horrors I ran into was at a specialized wheel place that deals with quite a few high end cars. I stopped the guy who tried to loosen the wheel without lifting the car and explained I needed it done the right way-
Since then I've done all the CL loosening and tightening myself.

I went to a few independent shops and even the closest dealer looking for the Castrol paste, and they didn't have it. I told the guy at this indy shop that he shouldn't be working on cars with CL if they don't have the required paste, other greases aren't exactly acceptable-

Thanks guys, looking to get the torque wrench to check/take the wheels off myself. Unfortunately they all cost more than the car Any suggestions? I am in Europe

ZMC,

Look here, 229 EUR:

I got a similar one for the same price at Otger Lensker on-line but they seem to be out of them now.

Good luck,
Tommy
