When to replace coil packs on GT3?

Just replaced mine at 43k miles. No miss-fires with the originals but definitely idles and rev's smoother/cleaner with the new coils and plugs. Went with the thicker coils that use the longer bolts.

Replaced my coils at 54K miles, 11/15. My records did not show they had been done previously. There were no visible signs of degradation, nor were they showing operational issues, but figured it was time. All good.

Thanks for the advice here! Plan on doing the coils with my plugs service at 43k miles in the spring. No codes, just my first major maintenance in year one of ownership. 997.2 GT3.

Haven't thought of replacing mine, even though I just did plugs-I often purchase from FCP but they are not caught up on the GT3 spark plug issue. The Bosch plugs were discontinued and the best way to go now is with NGKs, I would not use the Denso which I believe is listed on they site.
I wrote quite a bit about the discontinued Bosh spark plug issue on other threads-
I'll probably do a PIWIS scan this weekend and will look for signs of misfire, the coils looked ok on a visual inspection, but with anything electric and electronic a visual inspection doesn't always reveal issues=

Beru is the one to get, FCP Euro has it. Incidentally, I went on their site to look, and minutes later received an email urging me to get the coils ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I buy from them quite a lot, including parts for my Audi S3.
Theoretically if you buy from them FCP if something fails you can get it replaced, as they state. But will they replace all 6, or determine which ones to replace, etc
I'll do a PIWIS scan today or tomorrow out of curiosity. As mentioned, I just did plugs and visually, at least, the coils look fine, and I don't hear hesitation, car runs fine.
Do coil misfires show up as a code on PIWIS, or only listed as cylinder misfire on a VAL or Vehicle Handover? Maybe someone knows from past experience(?)
Thnx
