Buttonwillow Track Day

Had a fun day with several Rennlisters and SpeedDistrict at Buttonwillow. I was driving the antique, but the crew also had a 991gt3, gt4, 996gt3, etc...

Good weekend had a blast flogging my antique with its new suspension/brakes for first time on a track i know. LOTS of speed to catch up, this car should be a sub 2:04 car! Goals!!!!!

With antique video and some pics, GT3 content, lap 3 997.2 blowing by me. horsepower baby!

I will say this: it was fun passing much faster, more modern cars in this 964!

Just a great day on track with you guys yesterday!!! I posted up on your 964 thread (link above) with thoughts of the day and track.

Speed District ran a really solid track day, and in the end, even with the fog delay, ended up getting us all the track time we wanted. Well done! :biggulp:

Great video, 964s are a lot of fun!

Saw your comment regarding brake lockup. Experienced same problem with my 964 and was fixed by removing brake bias valve. Thought it was an ABS problem too. There are a few threads on the 964 forum.

Had a blast yesterday, was really good to see you guys after a long time and also a pleasure to meet Chris (christallon).

Hopefully I'll have the car completely sorted out for next track day and will keep up with you guys next time around :) This time, I know Buttonwillow too, so watch out lol!

It's great putting names and faces to avatar's. Great mtg you as well! So much of the fun at these events is hanging out, talking cars and lines and mods. The social aspect is half the fun!

^ Yes sir! We are all big kids with toys in the end lol! It's awesome meeting new car fans and discuss all aspects of driving.

I just love people driving these amazing machines and not bubble wrapping. Not one conversation on prices or deviated stitching colors all day!!

christallon 02-26-2016 08:01 PM

Usually $200 for the day. Typically, limited flag workers and open session unless a lot of people show up than they might split into groups.

Many guys are testing their race cars so you need to have good awareness and be an advanced driver.
