You can get 997 GT3 100mm tips from FVD and Cargraphics. They look and fit great but neither are cheap.

Just purchased 4" tips (so, just a hair over 100mm) with the 7.2 RS backing plate from Soul Performance. No idea if they'll fit, but will report back once they're on the car.

My .2 has the GMG pipes coming straight out without a backplate. Measuring at 3.5” or 88mm it looks good because the pipes are closer together. The factory titanium has them further apart so it looks a bit weaker. I’d go 100mm if you have the plate

Ed, I could only find the 3.5" Soul tips: https://soulpp.com/product/porsche-9...-bolt-on-tips/

Can you post the link to their 997 GT3 4" (100mm) tips? ... or are the 4" Soul tips you bought the longer ones for a 991?

Thanks,
=Steve

I'm with Steve. Soul doesn't make 105mm tips for the 997. That's why there's no link....

Exchanged PM's with John Gaydos. You are correct. No 4" tips for the 997. Getting the 991 tips fitted to the 7.2 RS backing plate. I believe there is some adjustability in the length. If they don't work out, he agreed to take them back.

cool.

... yea, I'm just the knucklehead who is going through the motions of trying out the 88mm to start with,.. but will just end up where Josh told me to go in the first place .. which is to ask FVD to make me a set of 100mm specifically for the 997 (correct length, rolled & slashed).

I take the long road, haha.

Josh, now seems about the right time to post some close up pics of your FVD 100mm rolled, slashed & correct length 997 tips

Ok guys, a month has passed. Hope everyone had a nice Holiday and Santa brought some fun mods for your cars.

My Santa gave me the Sharkwerks 88mm tips. So as promised, here are some close ups to give comparison against the 80mm OEM.
I tried to keep the camera-to-subject distance the same for each comparison, trying to eliminate optical illusion.

In the end I am quite pleased with the new look. It fills the cavity better. Looks to me like 100mm tips would also fit just fine,.. but IMO I am just not willing to pay over a grand for them (specific length for 997's), or pay a lot less but get the longer 991 version of the 100mm,... verses the Black Friday on-sale Sharkwerks 88mm tips specifically for 997's. It was a great deal.

3rd Comparison:

4th Comparison:
