Not surprised when it's what 75k+ now to do a 4.0 or 4.1 conversion? I haven't been keeping up with that cost after tariff/import headaches entered the scene.

A little birdie told me that the October 2025 price to do a 4.0/4.1L build is closer to $100k (but just a little south).

I think it’s which shop you go with. I’ve been quoted 60k from reputable people and 110 from another.

Wow seems like the engine build doesn’t affect values. A 7.2 4.1 RS sold for solid money too about 1-2 years ago.

Less than half that for a 4.2 from one of the best shops in the country. Only thing that doesn’t include is the manifold.

I wonder how the reliability is on the stroked 4.0/4.1/4.2 shops. I never hear of a single Sharkwerks issue but have heard of multiple stroked GMG cars go boom. Never heard much about Autometrics either.

I would venture to guess AM has built more of these motors than everyone else combined...

How many do you think they’ve built? Sharkwerks has been doing them for a while and has a several year waiting list. I would assume SW has done the most.
