Default Rough cost for coolant pinning/welding

Let's say I am doing the full engine drop pinning/welding approach to fixing the coolant lines.

What's a fair price to get this work done?

(I am aware of the $50 engine-in DIY guide, but am terrified of doing that to my GT2 and as such would rather let pros work on the car. Maybe if it were more of a beater...)

sharkwerks, no idea about dealerships, but it's prob 2x the cost from them.

It may be more expensive to do a turbo than a naturally aspirated Mezger. Part of the cost is replacing the other "consumables" while the engine is on the bench.

I think a typical cost just for welding the pipes, plus the small fee for the Sharkwerk's pipes to put in, is about $3K or so.

You can't put a price on safety and peace of mind.

All the best....

I just had my coolant pipes taken care of at SP Motorsports a few weeks ago. It cost about $4k to address the coolant pipes using the BBI inserts and sharkwerks pipes. It would have been cheaper, but they also replaced a bunch of seals, o-rings, and fluids while the engine was out.

Does that price include the cost of the sharkwerks pipes?

Did the indy recommend the seals/o rings or did you? Was the water pump replaced as well? It's got 20K miles but is 9 years old. Does anyone know if the coolant is replaced (for pinning) as I've read that the Porsche coolant shouldn't be diluted as it is good for the life of the car.

I'm getting this done in 2 weeks locally. Sherkworks recommended changing the right and left main coolant hoses. I wonder what else needs to be replaced while the engine is out.

to clarify the misinformation. Porsche dealership in bay area will drop and reinstall motor for~ $2500. Not including other labor to remove & reinstall welded or pin lines.
