Picked up my RS today... What a car
I've been in the process of buying a 2011 RS.
The PPI came back clean (35 over revs in range 1, none in 2-6) and I flew down to Newport Beach to drive the car back today.
I took the long way back to the bay area and hit CA-33 through Ojai. I have to say, I'm absolutely floored by this car.
I've been fortunate to drive a lot of different cars over the past several years and I can say without hesitation that this is the most alive car I've ever driven. I turn cars over fairly quickly but I think this is a long term keeper.
Thanks to everyone who offered advice on the purchase.
The car has 8500 miles.

The only thing I want to change in the short term is making the exhaust louder.
Can anyone comment on whether a center bypass (SW or GMG) will make things louder or just change the tone?

Glad you like it, sounds like a lovely car. I have the sharwerks bypass and it is fantastic. Certainly makes the car sound much better that's for sure. I've ordered the track pipe but that might be a bit much, only time will tell

An exhaust will dramatically change the "tone" to a much more aggressive, even hostile sound, in addition to making it louder. Our GT3 has the full Sharky track exhaust and pops and crackles on deceleration and howls and shrieks at high RPM. Our car has a lot of modifications but the one thing we would never give up is the exhaust we have. I wear ear plugs in the car and stay away from police.

Congrats on the new car! Let's see some pics!
The Center Muffler Bypass does change the tone a bit, but not much. It does make the car louder, but nothing that would bother you as long as you can still keep the valves closed. When opened it does sound orgasmic! I bought Carnewal's PSE control module so I can choose to keep it open or closed the whole time.
I had Sharkwerks CMB on my previous .1 GT3, had RSS CMB on my .2 then upgraded to Akrapovic CMB (so I can drive Laguna Seca). Both sound great, but I honestly liked the RSS one a tad more because of the crossover design it sounded a bit different.

It's not a straightforward answer because it was tangled up in the process of unloading my 12c (which dropped like a stone, even after I bought it for 30% off...)
I would say the net was about 190k. Which was probably 5-10k too high but I'm a sucker for yellow stitching.

Congratulations! These cars will not get any less; so you did good. So many shoppers out there hoping for "price bubble" to pop, but it ain't happening. Those folks will be waiting forever.
