Default MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION!! FS: Carbon Fiber Hood/Bonnet

I have a brand new, never used, 100% Carbon Fiber Hood. It's primered on the top and Kevlar reinforced. This is plug and play no adjustments needed and uses the same mounting points as the OEM hood/bonnet.

Price is $2695 OBO (or best offer).

PM with offers or questions.

CheeRS,

MJ

Does it use the factory latch?

Any pics of the the other side? Can the primer be stripped without harming the weave?

Yes it uses the OEM mounting points and latch. The primer can not be stripped. This is essentially just like those on the 4.0 RS.

Here's a picture of the top as we were bubble wrapping it.

Helpful hint since I didn't see it in the photo. you'll want to put thicker foam on the points/corners of the hood or your carrier will damage them most likely. I've seen it happen when shipping decklids.

Thanks! Good looking out.

I've shipped them all over the world as some on here will attest. And yes I do add more foam. Knock on wood, in the 13 years I've been on Rennlist, to date none of mine have ever been damaged. It may be because of my great packaging or imho because they're made of 100% dry carbon, which makes very strong. Unlike some others out there that are CRF/P (carbon reinforced fiberglass or plastic).

CheeRS,

MJ

I'll take either Alonso's or Senna's helmet. My two favorite drivers. GLWS

I'd be interested in one for a 996. Who makes these?

We do (MCK Engineering). Unfortunately for 996 I only have the race version with the refueling opening in the center, and although I have a cap for it, it's obviously not the same.

Do you make them without the primer, having just exposed CF on the exterior? Also, what is the weight vs OEM? Thx

We do make them in "bare" carbon, clear coated of course. Ours is approximately half the weight of the OEM one.

Here's a picture please let me know.
