Outside chance I might replace our 997 turbo with a GT2. Not if they all start trading for what they are asking for the red one.
For the short time I've been watching the 997 GT2 market it seems to be the one GT car that has the craziest range in pricing.

Dealers pushing the market,.....i understand the red is not the standard black or white but not even a 200k car. The only gt2 coming close would be an 09 pts...if i recall the post, the last one built in 09 for the U.S. was some orange variant picked up by a collector...now that is a 200k car

probably the very strong 6GT2 market pushing the 7GT2 market upwards...some 6's are trading around $200k now

I know the market is higher now but not that much higher :-)

This last year has been very strong for the 6GT2 market, would imagine the 7GT2 market would follow, no?
The European/UK market is particularly hot.

Yessir!
Probably 10% of the surviving USA 6GT2's are for sale right now, sellers need to watch they don't flood the market right now
Cheers,
Rob

GT2's were grossly undervalued for a long time. Just later following the appreciation trend back toward MSRP like the 3's and 3RS's. Prices are all over because a) the trend up has just started to catch momentum b) so few come up for sale and c) some that have come on the market recently have a few warts. It has always been a very special car and will be trading above MSRP like the others soon - then eventually higher dues to the low production numbers (especially in the US).
So if you want one and find a good example, I suggest now is still a good time while the market is still fluctuating. Just one man's opinion of course.

These (996s) used to trade hands at $110-$140k for a number of years (were about $400k new). They are now in the 400-500k range and similar prices are going on in Europe/UK
