just get the Crazy Eddie's bolster covers (for the buckets - which look as if stock) and be done with any concerns

or get *** seats and enjoy the comfy ride (ingress /egress)

 

I'm sure there are cases where 18 ways are better for a specific body type or application but I'm 5'9' 180lbs and spent 4 (8) hour days in a row in them and they were perfect. Even the gal was impressed. They are so well made and shaped for 95% of the people. Plus I am sure it will make the resale more valuable.

 

I have both sets of buckets in my 997 and 991. I like them for track, but not for cruising around. My new Spyder is coming with 18 ways. My wife hates the bucket seats in both 3RS and told me the Spyder better have sofas....
