I just purchased a cup lip (from FVD you get a RL discount ,$175 price) based on some RL opinions, without the vent holes. As another RL said it is about an inch lower, but I think looks more aggressive and I love the look. I wasnt concerned about downforce, but another post a while back referred that race cars dont have the vent openings and there is not data to support the extra downforce or any benefit to the brake cooling effect.

FVD ships in big box, lip is slightly curved in the box. Allowed it to warm to room temp and it installed perfectly no screws involved either on the 7.1GT3.

Updated just bought one of these ebay lips from "bestracingmotors" and the quality has apparently gone down hill.

The lip arrived with multiple marks in the lip. The finish is matte but there are shiny marks on the lip like an imperfection when they pulled it out of the mold or something.

I contacted the seller and they told me to pound sand. So I would stay away from these and buy an authentic lip from a forum sponsor. Lesson learned.

^^^^ good to know. Would you be able to provide a photo? That's the ebay lip i've considered to replace my OEM one. I just use the cup one since it's pretty durable but it scrapes on EVERYTHING.

I'll take one when I get home and post it here. The marks look like machining marks or imperfections in the mold. Several spots are shiny rather than matte, to me it's not acceptable for a product that's supposed to be in new condition.

It really pisses me off the vendor wants to blame me and not take any responsibility as well.

Never had a problem.
Can you measure the height of the lip?
