"Production note: In the past, these came from Porsche in black. The latest batch has come in primer, and must be painted black."

most cup lips are shipped rolled up since they are flexible, so they have fold marks and waves in the lower edge that can look goofy and uneven when mounted...

...any suggestions how to get them to straighten out and take the proper shape? heat gun seems risky... lay em out in the sun, they don't seem to properly straighten out...

+1. I received my cup Lip from FVD with a bunch of folds/waves due to it being rolled up for shipping. I was able to get most of the folds/waves out using a combination of a heat gun, leaving the lip in the sun, and keeping the folds/waves compressed in the correct position overnight but still no luck getting all of the folds/waves out. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hmmm

Just as I suspected.

Now the 375 offer I had from the local dealer isn't so bad if it's not the new primed kind.

I really hope these don't become unobtainium.

I may just buy one to keep and keep keepen on with the one I have. I also prefer the original thin 'stash (non cup lip)

A couple moths ago I bought a front lip from Suncoast, and the listing said it would be in primer and would have to be painted. When it showed up, it was just a standard black item, not painted.

Cup + holes from FVD, not rolled (the last time I bought one in May 2015); $195 + shipping. Rhonda is great.

Just ordered one off Ebay- thanks for the tip. I usually buy from FVD, they have a RL discount I believe, or at least they used to.

UPS just delivered a GT3 lip, and it came in a big box, not rolled up at all, just a slight curve to fit in the box, not wavy, no scratches, has an OEM Porsche sticker on it. Lies flat on the floor. So maybe the ones from FVD are newer or something.

Looks good to me.

All the best....

Just got my lip I ordered from the eBay link above. Looks great, shipped quick and it was even shipped in a huge box and wasn't rolled or folded. Great find, Andrew.

PS - too bad it isn't interchangable with my spare GT4 lip (below) that I got from Sunset in the Rennlist group buy (RL - Thank You!)
