Default IN THE FABSPEED SHOP | Porsche 997 GT2

It's not every day that you come face-to-face with one of the most brutal machines that Porsche has ever created. With over 520hp and 500ft/lbs of torque, most owners are content (and/or terrified) of the already-potent performance capabilities. For the ambitious few who desire even more, we at Fabspeed stand ready to deliver.
Our friend from New Jersey stopped by yesterday in search of the perfect combination of road-legal sound and performance gains for his GT2. We set him up with our full 997 GT2 Performance Package, including:
• 997 GT2 Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust (incl. Sport Cats & Tips)
• 997 GT2 Sport Headers
• 997 GT2 BMC F1 Air Filter
• 997 GT2 EVOMSit ECU Tune

The genuine HJS 200-cell Sport Catalytic Converters included in our Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust now keep him emissions friendly and road-legal in his home state of New Jersey while offering a great boost in exhaust sound and throttle response.
Our techs had him all buttoned up within a few short hours, so we didn’t have time for any dyno runs or videos, but here are a few photos of the process for you to enjoy.

First in were the Sport Headers and 200-cell HJS Sport Catalytic Converters:

Then came the hand-crafted Supersport X-Pipe with quad resonators for smooth aggressive sound:

Fabspeed’s slash-cut GT2 tips maintain the aggressive styling with a hand-polished finish:

The BMC F1 Performance Air Filters provides a boost in airflow and increased filtering capabilities over the factory filter:

A proper Porsche 6-speed never gets old:

About four years ago, when I was picking up our former 997S at Hennesey Porsche in Atlanta, that car being a superb, handsome machine, soon to wear classic BBS wheels, they had just gotten in a new GT2, a white car, with the black carbon fiber hood. I can still recall just standing by it and looking at such a formidable machine.

Truly then and now a GT2 is a Super Car by anyone's definition. The one in the pictures above is just a stunning example.

And with gorgeous exhaust pipes and headers.

All the best....

Couldn't agree more, it's the best part of the car IMO. So aggressive looking.

Thank you for the kind words. I completely agree with your supercar statement. The acceleration of a GT2/RS is unlike anything else I have been in. I have driven much faster cars, but the GT2/RS has such a sharp acceleration, the torque hits you like a tsunami. It takes your breath away. I love it, the car is so turbo charged and it wont let you forget it, definitely a widow maker

Tough to say since the car was already tuned when it came in. Over stock, we generally see anywhere from +60-80 whp and +100-110 ft.lbs. with a full exhaust, high flow filters and optimized ECU tune.

I can say positively that the car is scary fast and completely unhinged!! It will make you feel really manly, in fact, you may spontaneously grow a large beard just from sitting in it.

^ I can attest to that. Shaved before church on Sunday. Got home from church and went for a ride. Had to shave again before lunch.
