Supersports still on back order

I've been trying all summer to get a new set of Michelin Supersports for 7.1 GT3.
The old Pilot Sports are available but a pair of rears costs the same as a full set of 4 supersports. I'm getting tired of waiting and have been running my R Comps all summer, but they make so damned much noise it's getting annoying. Plus I'm running through them quickly.
Anyone have any idea how long the SSs are on back order? What would be a preferred alternative? Continental, Pirelli.
I'd appreciate any feedback.

Street tires? Track tires?
Bridgestone RE-11A are good, Hankook RS3, Yoko AD08
S04 are good for strictly street driving, quiet and long lasting and pretty grippy but not like the top tier performance tires.

Bridgestone S-04's here as well. A great street tire - relatively quiet, excellent in the wet and they wear well.
They are currently on sale at Tire Rack: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ndard%20Brakes

Tire Rack shows the rears as back ordered. Where did you find them?
I use Nitto Nt01 for track driving. I would like to try the Supersports as I love them on my 355. But I can't get an answer about when they are back in production.

I'd go with the Pilot Sport Cup 2's ... but the rears are also on back order; it appears that Michelin are having some issues meeting demand for both MPSS and MPSC2's in 997 and 991 fitments ... fyi.
according to tirerack they have no production date from Michelin to fulfill back orders to date.

Bought some PS2's yesterday. Tire Rack shipped the fronts today and said the rears, coming out of Delaware, would arrive by Thursday. So they say. These were 18's.
