Default TIRES: Trofeo R's vs Hoosier R7

Hello,

I have a '10 RS on which I currently run Trofeo R's.

I'm tempted by the new R7's but to keep costs sensible I would like to know how many heat cycles the can do.

I have observed that the Trofeo R's fall off a cliff when around 25-30 heat cycles (30 20min sessions).

I was wondering if the R7 would last around the same?

thanks!

Hossiers (R6 and R7) do not last 30 heat cycles in my experience
in my experience they are still usable after 15 hcs but they are junk, or well off pace
1-5 hcs -- great
6-10 -- less great
10-15 -- getting my money's worth
15+ -- done but just hanging on and trying to have fun

Your experience may vary based on set up, track surface, speed, etc...

if you are getting 30 heat cycles out of a tire and are happy with the performance -- keep buying it

I don't think I got 30 heat cycles out of any tire whether it was my non-RS, my RS, or my Cayman....RS3, NT01, RA1, R6/7.

Are you trailering (hoosier) or driving (Trofeo) to the track?
