Default Last bit of advice

I now have the opportunity to purchase either of the following:

(1) 2014 GT3 for $147,700 with 3800 miles and a warranty until 2019 (only one owner and clean CarFax)

(2) 2010 997.2 GT3 for $129,000 with 7500 miles, clean CarFax, no over-revs, PCCBs, good options, etc

I am blessed to be faced with this problem, but would also like to get some input. I kind of have to make this decision by tomorrow.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Its a tough one.

My vote is for the 10'.

It is almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and I feel it is a car to own at some point if you appreciate the GT cars.

Win DE / have warranty and no hassle - 2014

More hands on (work/maintenance/harder to drive fast) - 2010

Beauty - arguable which is better looking

Maybe I missed the back story:
Do you plan to track?
Do you want to shift using a lever.
Do you care about warranty?
Do you care about spending an extra $20k?

Drive both. You'll have a clear answer.

Just follow your heart. Get whichever one keeps coming back into your thoughts. Can't go wrong with either one.

(1) Occasionally
(2) I am ok with either option
(3) To some extent, yes; maintenance is expensive on Porsches and it would be nice to save the money.
(4) The price points are more than fair for both so I am ok with either.

My choice: manual gt3. Pdk or any derivative would bore me to death. Mike

Here, obviously answer will be 997 GT3. Ask in the 991GT3 forum and it will obviously be 991GT3.

In the end, the answer comes down to if you prefer manual or auto. No one else can answer that for you.

^^^ agree. Drive both. The cars are different enough in looks, feel, engine and drive train.
Weekend cars, canyon runs the manual is king.
You could always sell it later and then get a 991gt3 down the road.

Drive both, if you like them equally and money isn't a concern, get the newer one.
