Default RS roll bar question

guys I have the RS roll bar in my GT3....the installer botched some of the carpet and Im going to pick up the panel from Suncoast.

My question is is it easy to dismantle
the two posts that go into the carpet panel?
Or is it a big job

assuming it's just the shelf piece, super easy to pull it. I can have it out (and I have a bar and fixed seats) in 2 minutes.

Doesn't mooty have a precut one?

These aren't hard to get right. Slit, then cut hole for the bar.

yes you'd have to. I think they have to be slit or notched. Slit with a hole is best, once installed you can't see the slit. getting it back installed and aligned takes a few minutes, but really its not hard assuming its cut well. the back part sort of slides under the top far back carpet shelf, and the front part closer to the seats sits in a little pocket that holds it there. its just pressed in, no glue bolts, etc.

The OEM piece that you would order from Suncoast or wherever is precut holes and slit.

Here is the part number: 997.551.033.90.A10

Id suggest contacting Sunset Porsche in Portland, they always have better pricing.
