Default Thinking a 2010 GT3

I'm thinking of selling my 09 TT cab 6MT and replacing it with a 2010 White GT3 6MT coupe with CPO. Does the GT3 have a Mezger engine and is it worth swapping out of an appreciating 2009 for a questionable 2010? Just toying with the idea now and doing some research. I don't plan to track it and it won't be a DD; just a garage queen.

Gt3 has a mezger. Also it's been experiencing more appreciation than the equivalent 997 turbo.

I would make the switch in a heart beat.

...questionable 2010?

Have you followed the market lately? I just hope you're not looking to pay 2013 money for it. You can't possibly go wrong with a GT3 as far as value. Driving dynamics is a different story. The car is not for everyone.

If you drive your TT a lot on the street, might want to consider keeping it. Its the best car on street for a combination of performance with comfort. The GT3 on the other hand can be harsh for frequent driving on the street. If it's a weekend car, then that changes things....

But there is nothing like a 997 GT3. And it will hold its value way more than the TT

GT3 and / or RS, any year= awesome car(s) and prospects.

If you are refuring to 3.8's suffering from cam actuator failures - make sure the car is upto date TB from Porsche. If its CPO'ed your all good anyway.

Get a PPI.

GT3 unquestionably much better as investment than any sort of non-GT 997 turbo.

Driving dynamics are indeed another matter altogether. GT3 night and day from a turbo in that respect. Not for everyone, as has been mentioned.

bro didn't you just get the turbo? I've made the switch from a 997TT to a 997.2 GT3 and I have no regrets so far, only thing I miss a little is the torque kick...

Yes, about six months ago. I've discovered I'm not a cab fan in hot humid weather (N-VA and DC). Now is the time to sell a cab.

Probably should have said "holding their value"; especially the 6MT's.
