So long as people continue to put more money into their cars, "Collector" Car's, they will continue to rise. It's been going on since late 2007. Just go over to Hagerty's Insurance valuation tool and see how some Specific models have more than Tripled, in some instances, as opposed to folks with money playing the markets or futures, or options even. But that is even whole a different ballgame.

I'm just waiting for the 987.2 GT3RS Value's to dip after the delivery of the new RS. And mind us all, Porsche... COUCH COUGH COUGH, VW didn't mention how many they were going to build. And when Porsche Announces a limited run they do so on the the day they release the information about that car - during introduction...

Hi Tim,

Yes it will most likely be a feature in an upcoming issue of the magazine a head to head similar to what I did in issue #110 with the Masters of Rennsport feature I wrote on the 997.1 RS and my 997.2 RS.

This particular car doesn't seem too overpriced. It looks like it has the carbon fenders, thicker steering wheel, and it's all black interior. Just too bad it doesn't have the sport buckets.
No CF fenders on this one. It's easy to tell, if Fender flares are add-ons = Metal fenders, if fender flare is integrated into the fender as 1 piece = CF

Refer to the pix below to see the difference. I'm actually really surprised they're asking this much for this one with how it's spec'd with non CF fenders and the Sofa seats. But the fact that it's the only one advertised for sale right now might have to do with the price. I believe O'Gara in Beverly Hills has/had one with CF fenders and CF Sport Bucket seats advertised for $314K

Non-Carbon Fiber GT2RS Fender of the car in the ad

Ah, I couldn't get the larger pics to load when I looked so I thought the seam was the lighting. You're right this car doesn't have them

mine does but it's got 10,500 miles so it's worthless and not for sale

Those pictures are making me think GT Silver is not such a bad color for the 991RS...

Yeah it's really hard to tell for sure sometimes in pix based on lighting, angles, resolution and picture size. Congrats on yours! 10,500 miles? Oh so you're saying you drive it rather than bubble wrap it, I'm appalled Glad to hear you're enjoying it, that's what these are for in the first place right!

Peter, I agree. I think we've all gotten caught up in wanting an RS to have flair and to be immediately recognizable as a 'Special Car'. But in reality, I agree, I think the GT Silver will look fantastic on the 991 RS. It's definitely a bit more conservative, but will look fantastic, especially with black wheels to compliment the black vents. Hahhaha decisions decisions...Eventually you've gotta make one

not in north america. Was offered a fully loaded (very tastefully ordered car) with carbon fenders and less than 2k miles for 260K (dollars) last week. The car is rarer and faster than a 4 liter but the market here hasn't followed the same trend…though it may.
