No you have to give props to the HRE carbon wheels. I agree the doors are pretty dumb, and the brand for the exhaust and power is questionable.

The Manthey doors panels are cool if you ask me. Very minimal in design.

I'm not sure about the fake RS label. I would never do such a thing even if I had the RS bits on the car. Previous owner went all the way and even got a damn RS plaque and RS carpet... Should have just bought an RS. I'll take the door panels for $1500 for the pair.

Here's a nice one http://ebay.to/1LdeFNb in socal. Let me know if anyone wants this car checked out. I'm about 35 minutes away and want to drive a GT2

manthey door i like
CF wheels, sorry we are not there yet. i haven't seen CF car wheels that are reliable. i know a bit about CF wheels. i have been on them on bikes a while. and they are way more $ than car wheels. and even those fail.

but that's my personal bias. i am sure someone would find the car good for their collection.

Recipe for ruining a perfectly good GT2- make it something it isn't. I would never, in a million years, add an overpriced rear bumper cover. That usually indicates to me, if I were looking, that the car was involved with an accident.

I'm with Mooty on the carbon wheels. Although I have never had bad experiences with Reynolds carbon wheels, and I knew one of their former sales guys. If I need any more, I can always mine a pro deal from one of my friends.

Those carbon wheels are 22k from HRE. Pretty sure they are solid. Carbon revolution is using their 15k carbon wheels for OEM applications already. Carbon revolution is laminated carbon where HRE I believe is the proper pre preg.

I think the car looks great personally. And I would buy it for maybe 10k over a normal GT2. Just take off the GT2 RS badges. But if this car was clean completely, it's a great car.

A lot more goes into carbon design than just a simple decision of prepreg or wet layup. A lot more. And wet does not automatically mean it's garbage, it just means a more messy manufacturing process. I personally would not buy ANYTHING from HRE but that's my personal hang up, from what I've seen HRE does not get my business.

$22k supposedly in wheels and your buy estimate for this car's value is only a $10k premium including all the cha-cha?

Yea because everyone says mods don't add value so I'll be cheap too in my valuations lol. I'll play that game.

Why do you not like HRE?

I like this bike. Wasn't that like 15k or 25k? Something crazy?
