+1 I got over 400hp to the wheel in my Supra with a twin T3/T4 turbo set up without even having to add fuel.

having owned two different E30s. I'd say that engine in stock factory form wasn't that intimidating but was in race trim. was created mainly for homogenization reasons.

The 2.5L version, that we never received in the USA, is an awesome engine.

Mazda RX-3, R12A 1100cc engine and Mazda RX-7, R13B 1300cc engine. Very "Snarley" engines for their size and good looking cars. Light, quick for their size and a lot of fun to drive. The RX-3 is 2/3 the size of a '66 Mustang fastback. Had 2 '73 RX-3 coupes and a '79 RX-7. Put almost 200K miles on each of them. Wish I still had both of them!

Of all the cars I have owned, and it is a sizable list the S85 in the E60 M5 is my all time favorite.....and still the fastest car I have owned. I loved taking a road trip in this car.

I had a chance to put some miles on a new GT350 recently. 5.2L flat plane crank V8 that makes 520+ hp naturally aspirated and spins to 8250 RPM. Definitely a motor with character!

If I had the space, I'd have one on order....

Agree with TexasRS, the S85 (and the S65) were great motors. The S54 has a special place in my heart as the first bat**** crazy engine I put in my garage.

I think this engine definitely has potential.... I hope to see one at the track soon.
