You got the high priced hooker...probably more like $1,000/session.

i'm going to go in on the low-end of this. $350 or so for track fees, $100-150 for gas. I drive up and back day of event. i eat protein bars and fruit for food.

I'm at $500 an event. I'm on all OE parts and hopefully that keeps costs low. I just don't think about it, if i did I'd go for a BRZ as a track car instead.

Probably $1500 an hour to run

Doesn't include refresh of car

$1,500/hr? That would get you some of the line selection in Vegas.

Sorry, did not mentioned that I usually drive in TX, close to home (COTA, TWS, MSRH), so no hotel for me...

Here's my take. If adding up all your costs is what you need to do ,than do just that. Really just go have fun (can you put a price on that) at a cost you can afford. If tracking is to expensive go do concours! Much easier on the budget. Or get a less expensive car to track! Get over cost and go have fun No one in there death bed ever wished they had worked more, saved more or done less track events!

We have not tracked our GT3, only had it several months, and have not another car on a track for about 3 years, used to do VIR and Carolinas MotorSports Park, the latter an hour away. But when we ran our Superformance Cobra, i ran race gas at about $8 bucks a gallon, and would get two laps per gallon, maybe less. So by far the biggest expense for us was fuel costs.

We are running a 56 miles road run back and forth this coming August, the Nebraska SandHills Challenge, Chris and I need new helmets for it. Not sure about putting our GT3 on any track, mostly because of the potential for wearing out the now perfect PCB's. Have to think it over. But at CMP, the only cost other than fuel was a relatively track cost. Lodging really adds up.

All the best

Same here, usually day trips or crash at my buddy's house. Maybe I'll see you at COTA sometime this year.

Agree! Not going to keep track. After I get the bill for the work done on my GT3 - tracking it will be nothing.

I expected to spend around $10k on the GT3 after I bought it this January - appears it might be more like $14k. I'm doing the following now at the shop.

New brake pads
New rotors
Alignment
Spark plugs
Short shifter
LSD rebuild
And now doing the coolant fix. So dropping the engine.

This GT3 is going to be in sweet shape.

my annual DE budget just went up for january.... couple of coil packs one day, coolant hose the next day, clutch the day after and finally a leaky cam cover.... had to throw in the towel early for the final two prepaid days of PCA48....

But no body damage on the bright side of things

And that, my friend, it a HUGE win. Don't worry. Be happy.

On the bright side, the Cayman seems to be materially cheaper to track than the RS.
