Personally I like the pricing threads.

BTW, there's an easy way to avoid them.

You bought this car Schmidt ?

Is this Rivi RS coming to Oregon ?

If so congratulations on an incredible purchase. I'd love to GTG and check it out some day !

Oregon makes your SD deal look like crap.

0% sales tax and $42 year reg fees !

I flew down to inspect it. Very very nice example and can be made perfect with reversal of light track mods. I've been a proponent that the 997 RS would decline in value back to previous lows with the release of the new 991 RS. After recently spending more time around in particular the .2RS I was reminded that the .2RS met my checklist for future greatness so to speak. It was cool when it came out, it's cool today, aging well, fast then, still fast, has a cult following, is the last of its kind, finally was produced in finite numbers. My change of position came frankly as a surprise having owned many Gt3's. Moving forward the paint to sample examples will be the most coveted. The same can be found today in all classic era Porsche cars in paint to sample or unique rare optional colors. I feel I paid retail and perhaps then some considering the additional work to put back to stock and it's an example certainly worth it. Having own(ed) other examples of RS cars I strongly prefer the minimalist spec of this car and feel the highly optioned cars are at odds with the focus, utility, functionality, and user experience of the 964RS and 993RS that proceeded it. I do however understand that the additional utilty offered by highly optioned cars makes them more usable, I just feel far too many came too highly optioned. The transition from zero frills 964RS 993RS to a no frills GT3RS works for me...feels right and feels more special making no excuse for what it won't do. The highly optioned cars leave me cold and I'm hearing the same sentiments echoed from others with more frequency.

What would you add or subtract for perfect spec? Curious.....I was an anti AC person....now older, fatter, out of shape the AC seems perhaps one evil I'll take on.
