I heavily shopped the .2 RS market before buying my 15 GT3. The question before me, was, what was the natural upgrade to my 11 GT3. In the end, based on a lot of reading, advice, and some seat time, etc. I decided on the 15 GT3. But I will share from my shopping experience, that as always, there is a lot of hype out there around asking vs. selling prices. I suspect the car you seek is in the $175-185k selling range if you are patient. In October when I pulled the trigger on my 991 GT3, I was offered a 500 mile CPO 11 RS at 175k. It was a fairly base car (no PCCB or lift). That was after heavy negotiating, I had decided that if I was going to buy an RS, that was going to be the one. Personally, if I was looking for a grey black, I would ****** that car at Premier. I have purchased Porsches from them before and found it to be a fair and high integrity experience. That's your car. Sure it would be great to buy from the original owner. But its sitting there and its the color, etc. that you have described. All this dependent on PPI, etc. of course. Make them an offer. You might be surprised. And no, I have absolutely no personal relationship or affiliation. I purchased from them last 10 years ago.

You know what they say about luck..... where preparation meets opportunity. Well, I lucked out on this one I think:
Dolphin Grey PTS, 4500 mi, one owner, no story car, based on the current sales climate I could not pass.

That car will be for sale a very long time. Anywhere close to 190k

It's a 150k car at best

That was only a few months ago. Like I said, I think there's a fair amount of hype out there. 175k was a fair price and still is.

997 pricing is a reflection of attitude towards 991. Also supply and demand - fair amount of 991s available, not so many 997s.

Wow! Congrats on a great car! Is the car in the picture white or is something wrong with my phone?

youre making the opposite point of my post... my conjecture is that there is a bit of pricing hype around .2 RS cars...and that they can be purchased in pristine shape in the $175-180k range... that was the case before, during, and after 991 gt3 launch...

Just wait.

This goes in waves. There was just another wave of people (just like you) who all want the same exact thing.

Now if you really must have a sub 5k mile car I don't think price is coming back.

But if you can settle for a 20k that you are actually going to drive the price correlation will come down and nice cars will come available again. Especially when the new rs comes out with a manual. (Hehehe)

While I would buy a (.2) rs if I found one I liked, and the price was reasonable, I do not think the price jump over the reg cars is justified given the driving experience in my opinion.

It's funny how rs guys stick close to rs guys around here (.1 and .2). Meanwhile the .1 rs is literally the same thing as a 997.1 reg car which gets treated like a stepchild.

Anyway good luck. I know of about 5 other guys who (btw are not car guys and don't own even Porsche's) who are looking for what you are looking for. That is how crowded this trade is.

Don't you guys serve soup in sourdough bowls? Now you've got bakers involved.
