If the car was totally original i think it would have gone for more. Stupid actually not to strip the car to oem spec and then throw it in the auction.

But then again what do i know

True. I almost bought an 04 CS 3 years ago with 3500 miles for 138k. I thought it was high at that time... Yikes!

I don't think this will change RS prices much. Didn't Byers sell a blue RS recently to a Rennlister for 200k? Price sounds about right to me. Not that hard to remove a cage and center exhaust. Nobody would ever know once removed...

i see it from the buyers pocket, so it's a 231 car, as i thought (crossing 225).

991 is a phenomenal car. but the 991 and 997 are different animals. you might as well compare cars with refrigerators. they are that different.

stick shift. again, i say but a few stick shift cars then move to PDK. it's better, it's MORE involving. u just need to learn how to use it like learning how to heel and toe.

Sorry mooty, I don't think the 991 is more involving at all. There is a lot more shifting with it, yes, keeping it in the powerband. There is that higher level concentration that you need in a faster car. But, in my opinion it is as far as it goes. I know at least three guys back home who are selling their 991 and getting back into the 997. The Alps feel differently with a proper manual, even if you're not going as fast as possible.

My apologies if I did… Stuck in an airport with way too much coffee in my lower body.
