I find jays garage vids a bit dull which I don't understand, we all know he has the talent and experience to make much better segments

Two years later I still regret selling the E46 M3. It was set up perfectly and I spent lots of time and money on it. That was one bad decision

He talked quite openly about how he also had to finance the 4.0L and couldn't even get approved through Porsche for the financing and ultimately after he checked that box and realized he couldn't comfortably afford the car that's when he got rid of it. He also stated that the money he gained on the 4.0L covered his losses on the FF.

The portion that really hit home for me was the talk about the "car portfolio"... How they don't have to all be expensive cars to really fit the need of the car guy. Having 6 cars myself (most of them junk but well worth it in my mind) It's something I personally adhere to but have never been able to put into words to others the manor he described.

Talk about the E46 M3 being quite possibly the best M3 ever reminded me how much I miss that darn car and how much of a mistake it was to sell it.

We can identify with him, all the stuff he says about cars I agree with, he's looking for a 500E lol, I put 5000 miles on mine so far and can't understand why I love it so much.

I'm looking for a 2cv after driving a Mahari it whTever the buggy looking ugly thing is in France last September. Seems like an appropriate beer cart chaser mobile here in Florida and I got room in containers coming from France quite often...

Taken yesterday, everything works, even every lit button interior looks almost new and drives like a dream getting is detailed this Saturday:

Was already a Chris Harris fan but gained a whole new respect for him after watching that.

One thing that has stuck with me was when Chris said BMW told him in 10 years all new cars will be electric....I already hate turbos as it is ...so that comment makes me sick to my stomach. I need to buy every NA car I can over the next few years.

TCS1Racing. Sold my 500E last year. Fantastic car. Main frustration was 2 years of mechanics not familiar w car and going back mult times for every problem. Found Henneken Automotive in Vancouver - problem solved!
Good luck in the hunt.

Cheers

Mark

Brilliant podcast, and hugely entertaining! I shared it with other car geeks on another forum, and it was greatly appreciated there too. CH absolutely has world-class abilities to put into words what so many of us car guys/gals think and feel. Thanks!

If in SoCal take your E500 to Sammy at Point Auto Service in Santa Clarita. He worked on my E500 5 years ago and I think still maintains it for the new owner. http://pointautoservice.com

Yes, originated in Japan, grey two tone - now in Ontario. I didn't know Bernie worked on these old Mercedes. Will be taking my RS to him once CPO warranty expired.

Sorry to derail thread even further...
