COBB Accessport for 997.1 GT3 / GT3 RS Now Available!!
We are very excited to announce the immediate availablity of our Accessport V3 for the 997.1 GT3 and GT3 RS!!
For those looking for a considerable increase in power throughout the entire power band - look no further. The Accessport will come with our Stage 1 and Stage 2 OTS maps pre-installed. The Stage 1 maps are meant for cars that are completely stock or have muffler bypass systems. Stage 2 maps are recommended for cars that have a complete upgraded exhaust system. These maps offer gains of up to 8% in peak power/torque. We offer maps for ACN91, 91, 93, and 100 octane fuels. This allows you to easily switch to a higher octane fuel for track days and go right back to a pump gas map for every day driving duties.

Been driving around town for a few weeks with the COBB tune and will get it on track this weekend. As you can see the 3.6 makes nice power with only an exhaust system.
This is a really great setup, in addition the logging built in and real-time displays, if you decide to 'go big' and do a 4L 4.2L or whatever you can use the same tuning unit to build custom maps for your modifications.
Good stuff and really great customer service to boot.

The simple answer is the factory left more room for tuning on the .2 engine.
The great thing about COBB AccessPort is that it gives the user the liberty to easily switch maps from tuners who venture to push the envelope beyond the base maps.

Total game changer for the GT3!!
I will be installing one on my 4.0 2008 GT3 RS soon..
I had one on my R35 GTR and it was amazing.. Cobb changed the game for the R35 also.. Being so easy to tune and everyone had one so it was all just so easy to work with such a complicated car..
It has been tough to get a tune to stay strong on the stock ECU (flashed) for my car.. Plus is dificult to find people with the software to even do it.. So happy now there is a COBB application..
I will let you guys know how it goes! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders with this application...
Thanks COBB!!

+1 Mitch did the tuning on my car and am very happy with it. Done a few track days and the drivability on track is much improved.

Its the ecu rom code/serial number. When you connect the access port it will display the number of your ecu so you can confirm the tune.
Basicly different regions get slightly different spec's and tunes.

I got my Accessport setup this past weekend. I want to say the throttle response/powerband feels smoother. I'm looking forward to trying it out on track. The Cobb guys have been great throughout the process. I'm planning on getting a pro-tune at some point also.

Bringing up this thread again almost a year after... Has anyone played around with their AP tunes or customize them beyond the Stage 1, 2 options offered by COBB? I've been able to modify a few of the tables to my liking thanks to the ATR software, but wondering who else has been experimenting to exchange ideas and results.
For example, I didn't feel much throttle response change between Stage 0 and Stage 2 (the Torque request tables are identical for both) but by increasing the Torque Request numbers slightly, the engine has really come alive and much more responsive (go kart like...). Of course, it's just a matter of how you like your throttle pedal to react based on your driving style.
And yes, Mitch and the COBB crew are mega responsive.
thanks.

I've played (well shop has) with my 100 octane map (my car has cup headers/open exhaust and no other mods). All they adjusted was the throttle sensitivity from about 3-5k to soften it a bit, it was a bit too sensitive and when mid corner trying to steer with throttle it was too sensitive. He dropped it about 5-10% and its perfect.

Sounds good. I went in the opposite direction making my throttle a bit more responsive since I like it better for heel-and-toe- throttle blipping, etc. However, I only modified my "Sport Mode" table leaving the "Normal Mode" table the same, that way, for wet track or poor grip conditions, I can have a smoother throttle using the "Normal Mode."
I'm also only modifying the 100 octane map, no need to worry about the other ones in my case since I don't use them at the track. My engine has FVD headers/200 cell cats, side muffler delete (single elbow, no valves) and stock center muffler. Cup lid/wing and cup air box.
