David Coulthard won the event over a current F1 driver. Why, because he couldn't shift Gears.

"I had the advantage because being 23 years older than Pascal I'm used to changing gear whereas he was looking for the semi-automatic shift! I think a small rum punch is in order..."

"It was a pleasure for me to be here and to drive in the Race of Champions," Wehrlein said. "It was so much fun but, in the end, David did really well. I couldn't beat him - maybe because for me it's a bit tough to drive a manual shift car with a clutch and everything."

I thought the manual transmission would possibly be a thing of the past in a few years.

Seems to be a thing of the past right now.

Coulthard also being a bit humble to be honest. That guy sets record times every where he goes. He did a test run in a rally cross car in Wales and set a record time during practice. Guy is a shoe!

And yes, manual is a thing of the past. Guess I'm a geezer...
