Default Thread Title: Just updated the TPC Racing - DSC module

Wow, when I thought the folks at TPC Racing had done a phenomenal job with their DSC module, they have gone and updated the software in it. I had one of the early DSC modules that TPC Racing released and the new maps are just head and shoulders above that one! This is not to say that I had any issues with the original maps, but the new maps have transformed my 911 turbo even further. The suspension is more compliant and the grip levels have gone up! Also, the left-right transitions are just amazing.

And just when I thought, the limit has been reached, I hear rumors that TPC Racing looking at developments that will take the suspension design/execution to yet another higher level. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us

I've been running the newest maps on my car, now Stage III offers the best setting unless it's a very bumpy road.

I have the TPC DSC too. How do you tell which version you are running, and whether it's the latest?

Thanks for the great review. We are very glad you like the latest mapping.

Exciting new things to be debut at this year's PRI show at Indianapolis in December!

Very cool, so I imagine an update will be posted here as soon as that news goes live?

Im one that likes to do everything at once, so would be cool to see different stage package offerings from you guys.

Of course.
We've always been weak on marketing but we are striving to be better.

Search for Larry Cable writeup on this. He installed this on his .2 car that also has the full RSS kit in the rear.

Do you have any objective measures to confirm that the "grip levels have gone up?" What do you mean by "the left-right transitions are just amazing?"

aloha folks, i emailed harris at TPC after 512bb post about getting his DSC unit updated. Harris advised that 512bb had a beta version which was about 18 months old- it was updated to current production software.

Harris advised that my DSC purchased in Dec 2013 is current production version-no update at this time.

Also said announcements coming soon about new DSC item in early 2015.

If I may make a correction and elaborate on the latest DSC mapping update, the latest major update was done in Dec 2013. This was very likely the final major update. There was a minor mapping change in Sep 2014 which was about a 5% change on Map 2 making the compression softer when the sway bar rate begins to cut in at very low input ranges. There is no change from before when driving moderately to extremely aggressive. Along with the latest mapping change Map 3 is no longer the stiffer map for ultra smooth tracks, Map 3 became a softer version of Map 2 only during corner entry. There is no change at all to Map 1. All DSC units sold in Sep 2014 or later have the latest mapping. All units sold prior to Sep 2014 can get the latest mapping change at no charge.

As a test for suspension changes I have a few "control" turns (on-ramp, off-ramp, etc.) and "maneuvers" that I do to see how the changes have affected my cars or bike. As an example, there is a straight flat road near where I live, I accelerate gently and move the wheel as rapidly as I can left to right and make a note of the speed when the PSM kicks in. After this latest DSC update with the same tire pressures, same alignment, same tires, temps about 5 cooler, the speed at which the PSM kicked in was about 10% higher than before.

I think you just call them to order it and if you are curious about price from what I recall its around $1000 but there is a ton of good information about it on this other thread https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=37911

I am following it closely, it is very interesting.
