991 GT3 vs 997.1 - the best single word comparo...
I got to drive a buddy's new 991 GT3 yesterday. What a great car.
Having just recently folded into the flock from a heavily modified PDK cayman into my 6 speed beast, it occurred to me that the feeling I am left with after driving both my car and his is the following (991 vs 997):
Pleasurable vs Thrilling
The 991 is a great car in the same way my Cayman was -- the PDK is what makes it so, but all things being equal, I'll take the 997 every time.
I daily drive my 997 and now that I'm used to driving a stick again, I'll have a hard time not rowing the H again.

Felt the same way. Very close friend had one, and I put about 20 miles on it. Very fast, but just did not do it for me. He reached the same conclusion and sold it in favor of his highly modified .2.

way to use these great cars! I've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in the drivers seat of gt3s since mk1. They have changed a lot over the last 15 years! To me the raw analog feel goes 6mk1-6rs-7rs! When I drove the 1gt3 I felt the same way as you did! Great fast car "but"
The 1gt3 is such a great car but I hope they make the 1rs a real rs and not gt3+ if you know what I mean.
