I've never owned a red porsche but boy have I warmed up to this one. Only reason I jumped to this one from my really nice 996 gt3 was the second I saw it, it reminded me of my late father's guard's red 05 c4S targa, which he sold just before his death. It would be REALLY hard for me to part with this car!

Your killing me,I was going to ask if you would think of selling it.I sold Porsches in the late 80's and had a guards red cpe for my demo.Since then theirs only 1 color for me.How do you like it versus the 996?

Aesthetically, its not even close. 997 both inside and outside for me is just so much nicer. The 997 is quicker, but for some reason the 996 did not feel that much slower. You could tell the 996 was lighter on its feet. But, my 996 had a lot of nice mods like headers, gmg exhaust, and most importantly, very lightweight ccw wheels and an rs lwfw and clutch kit. It also had pccb's, and the combined effect was a care that felt very zippy and responsive.
Once I do the same mods to my 997 (along with the 3.89 r&p!), I don't think I will miss any aspect of the 996!

They are out there for exactly that price...but not necessarily for sale.
So I opted for L41. Once you go Darth Vader...you never go back!

I had been looking for one in white or black. When my current Guards Red .2 showed up I didn't hesitate.

Guards Red all the way! I'm a convert.
The GT3 looks great in a solid (non-metallic) color. Guards Red used to be soooo popular but now you rarely see it on the newer cars.
