yep, there's a reason the torque spec is high. Even on stud nuts, because they can back off too. Big fat sticky rear tires generate huge brake force on the 7GT3.

It held up for two sessions, I checked the nut after each session, but before the last one, it had worked its way too lose, and I called it a day, only lost one session in the end.

Studs, IMO, are a much easier solution than bolts. Tarret makes some nice kits, but my PMNA kit has been on the car for a couple seasons now with zero issues. My issues is simply that whoever changed rear pads on the car before I owned it (more than 3 years ago), must have damaged the original threads in the hub, as that stud won't take 54 ft/lbs anymore, but all other studs do just fine.

In reality, the ultimate solution is Time-Cert + Studs at all corners, as it creates a steel to steel mating, but I'm just going to fix the damaged hole and be done with it.

Did you read the thread?

How do these prevent the threads from stripping out of the wheel carrier? Are your bolts crappy in that they strip before the aluminum?

They should be stronger than the ones you got. I question whether you got true Porsche OEM bolts given the low break point of the ones you installed.

You can't have perfect metal parts every time. I investigated a rotating part from a jet engine that failed do to an internal cleanliness issue. That part was made from a vacuum induction melted ingot which was then processed as an electro-slag remelt ingot. It doesn't get any better yet one ingot out of hundreds had an issue. A review of the entire production process revealed nothing out of spec.

I'm surprised the vendor or retailer has no interest in seeing if there is a broad problem or if it just a fluke.
