Default Trim below door loose - I guess the rocker panel trim?

Noticed this after two days at Watkins a Glen but I did not hit anything bigger than some red and white curbing. It looks like it clips on with "Christmas trees" which may be molded onto the piece of trim. Could anyone confirm if this is the case? Do I need a whole piece of trim? Any ideas on R&R procedure?

Car is .1RS if that matters.

It should just snap back into place. I had a similar issue one time when lowering the car with my floor jack and the panel popped loose. I pressed it back into place.

I thought something was missing in there. I guess I can try it again. Thanks.

If it doesn't snap in place you can get replacement clips from your dealer. If they've broken. They're sort of expensive for what they are...

So I took a closer look at there are indeed quick clip fasteners that slide into a slot on the sill trim piece and they press into a hole in the metal body of the car. My trim piece has 6 broken?!? Upon further inspection I just decided to order the entire trim piece for both sides of the car. It is chewed up pretty good after 26K miles since it is so close to the road. When you buy the sill trim you get the clips and the rubber aero flap at the aft end.

I had that happen on a GT2. Brushed a cone at about 100mph and broke a bunch of those clips. They are about $5 a piece if I remember right! Crazy Porsche tax!
