Heard and read multiple places quality is suspect. Would not want to try these in crash. Get some fia rated recaro pole positions.

I made the mistake of buying some seats for my old Z06 that werent FIA certified... Waste of time and money. Id only go with a legit company .. Too much flex in most of these cheesy aftermarket seats. Plus the tub wpuld prObably crack after some time .

Probably great if you plan to attached to a base with casters and make it an office chair. On the road where there is the potential of an accident, no f'in way.

Stay away from these seats! Go with either OEM Porsche seats or Recaro, Sparco OMP seats

thanks for the advice guys - for the price point its hard to beat them. I did have a set of oem 996 gt3 elephant ear seats, they were extremely light and good quality. issue is that my broad shoulders made them uncomfortable.

that said i am always a fan of oem, unfortunately these cgt seats cost close to 15% of my current car. thats just not logical.

Well, the OEM CGT seats are made by Recaro anyways and it's almost identical to the Pole Position, except the fact that CGT is made with CF shell and the belt passages (or whatever those pieces are called) are different.

Don't risk your life for just looks bud, not worth it.

Don't go bling bling - go with safety

Sparco, Recaro etc in cloth aren't that expensive

Is there a preferred mounting/bracket system for the Recaro pole positions?

Trying to think of a fixed back seat other than the GT2s.

Get the 996 GT3 CS Seats. Fixed back, $2500-$3000 a set, work very well for street and track usage.

The only challenge is finding a set.

My pole positions are mounted using recaro double locking sliders, recaro aluminum risers, and the rss slider plate that allows all this to bolt together perfect. Fits great, looks Oem, totally secure.

If you want to save some money, I offer free shipping and a 10% off RENNLIST code on Sparco seats. Click HERE. I also have Recaro seats, I just don't have them listed on the website.

Contact me if you have any questions.
