Always do oil analysis but is there any need to do gearbox oil analysis?
As the title states. I always do an oil analysis on my cars to track the various elements in the oil over time, etc.. This time, while changing the gearbox oil I decided to capture a sample as well in case there was a benefit to also sending that to Blackstone for analysis. Not sure what it would tell me.
Do any of y'all do gearbox oil analysis in addition to your motor oil analysis?
If so, what is the benefit?
TIA

I do. For $23 I like to see the numbers. Wear metals and viscosity. Iron and copper are the main metals to see.
